So after more than 4 months of trying to get this house it is finally ours. All we have to do next is sign the papers, which will probably happen on Tuesday. Now let me just warn you all that our house needs serious TLC. So don't judge the pictures because we know it's ugly, but we are ready to tackle all the problems. So details...it's about 2,800 sq. ft. and has 5 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms, a mother-in-law entrance, and a nice big yard for our little girl, Raven. I'll be sure to post before and afters as they come. We probably won't be moving in until the end of January so we'll be plenty busy fixing up the place until then.

Raven Ruined Christmas!
So I know Christmas isn't all about the presents but hey when you spent a lot of time and effort to get a great present then it really is disappointing when something happens to those presents. Once again we tried to leave Raven out of her kennel while we were at work. Well, yesterday when I came home from work I discovered a little surprise. Raven had ripped open all of our presents for Christmas and chewed up Mike's books I bought him. They are still able to be read but who wants a funny looking chewed up book right? I yelled at Raven and locked her in her kennel, sat on the floor to clean up her mess, and cried. I was so sad that Christmas was ruined. I knew what Mike got me and there was no way to wrap up what I got for Mike. On the good side, we both liked what we got for Christmas but that Raven will never ever be let out of her kennel when we are gone. Never again. She has some serious issues. So now we are just going to have stockings on Christmas to open. Not too sad but the surprise is all ruined.

Body Works Museum!
So, yesterday Mike and I both had the day off and decided to see he body works museum up in Salt Lake. It was amazing. Really puts a new perspective on life. I said to Mike at one point "If people really think there is no higher power, they are crazy". It is so true! The amount of thought that went into creating our bodies must have been endless. Our bodies, and their functions, are so beautiful and so amazing! It was just a wonderful experience. They won't let you take pictures so these are from the website. Check it out! Buy the way, all f these bodies are really. I mean real people!!!

Our early Merry Christmas
So thanks to Mike's parents, Kent and Sheri, we got a wonderful, and much needed, vacuum for Christmas. With having Raven now our vacuum just doesn't do the job. So, tonight we brought it home and vacuumed every inch of our apartment. Let me just tell you...this Dyson animal vacuum is insane. It sucks up stuff you didn't even know was there before. Most of what we vacuumed was of course Raven's hair, but the other dust and dirt was crazy. Once you are done you feel so clean! I think everyone should get one of those vacuums in their home. They are quite pricey but worth every penny. It's especially great if you have kids. If you ever want to test it out. Come on over my friends!

Twilight...
So, I finally saw Twilight! What's really great is that Mike and my brother Jordan came with me and both liked it. I think Jordan might even read the books now. Anyway, my opinion of the movie is that s was good. Not my favorite but good. I think what really bugged me was Edward. He is a very strong, rock solid guy, who is confident in himself and oh so smooth with the ladies. In the movie he almost came off as timid and scared. I hated that. But other than that I liked it. So the real question is...WILL THERE BE ANOTHER ONE? You let me know what you think. I personally think there will be. Especially cause this one was so popular. You tell me!

I was tagged again!
So my sister tagged me again! She always gets me by saying at the end that she tags anyone who reads her blog. That's stupid. Anyway, I have to go to the 4th folder of my pics and post the 4th picture and then do the same in my 6th folder. Enjoy the random pictures.
Who new my two nephews would miraculously be in those folders? This is a pic of Luke. Mike thought is would be funny to give him a can of beer from my grandparents house so he could take a funny picture. I don't think it's that funny but whatever.
I don't tag anyone cause I'm nice and let's admit it, no one likes to do these things anyway.

Cancelled!
So I LOVE watching Lipstick Jungle. It's seriously my favorite show right now, I love the clothes, the jewelry, everything. It's like watching Sex and the City without all the sex. I just found out that it's cancelled! What??? Why do they cancel shows? It's like how they cancelled Arrested Developement! That's one of the funniest shows! I just don't understand. I'm just mad at the T.V stations. It's all their fault!

I was tagged!
So my sister tagged me to write about Mike. I'm bored so I thought I would finally do it. This is one of my favorite pics of Mike. It cracks me up!

4.What does he do that surprises you?
He's just a sweetheart! He's always thinking about my needs and others needs. Most men aren't like that!

It's hard to just choose one... but I think I would say his cute little nose or his blue eyes (sometimes they are green, but I like them both)
6.What is your favorite quality of his?
His generosity! He's the most generous person i know!
7.Does he have a nick name for you?
No not really, he just calls me babe. It's a huge shock when he calls me Allie!!!
8.What is his favorite color?

I would say Rock. He likes everything except country. His favorite band is Linkin Park...I think that says a lot.
17.What do you admire most about him?
He's very goal oriented! He is always trying to do more in life. I love that he's a hard worker. Although sometimes I think he works a little too hard. He's in desperate need of a really good vacation.

30 years flying!
The View
As some of you know, I watch The View some mornings. It's probably not the best thing for me, considering I get a little heated about the subjects. However, today really hit me! The subject of gay marriage has been a topic the past couple of days. Now that prop 8 was passed in Cali some of the ladies have a lot to say about it. Whoopi, for one, was talking about how she protested at a local Mormon church for her friends because we are the reason that prop 8 passed. Pretty sure no one in the church would go into the voting booths and force people to vote prop 8. She also said it's always good to hear all the sides of the story, so I wrote in an e-mail. Who knows if it will be read or not but I thought it was important to share our story as members and what we really stand for. I explained that we are not againsts gays, we only believe that marriage is sacred, and is sacred between a man and a woman. I also said what I told you guys, we didn't force andyone to vote for prop 8, we only asked that people would consider it and guess what the rest of California agreed with us. They believe as we do, that marriage should be between a man and a woman. What do you guys think?

1 year down, 1 to go...
As Mike would say. Of course he is just kidding! Anyway, today was our 1 year anniversary. You know I think it's funny how slow time went before our wedding came and then once we were married, it seemed like time went by super fast. So today we celebrated by going to the spa, going to the dinosaur museum, and then going to the melting pot for dinner. So, what all happened this past year? Where to start... Mike and I got Raven this year, which was wonderful. I think it really brought reality into our lives. It was like having a child without having to breast feed and pop anything out of my va jay-jay. We had to suffer with waking up at all hours of the night, cleaning up all the messes, and dealing with the enormous amount of energy one has at such a young age. We also have had to deal with the huge amount of stress we have been put in with trying to buy a house, twice! That and we moved into the ghetto of Provo. Believe it or not, we are still alive! But hey, even though this year was difficult, it was oh so wonderful. I love Mike more than anything and we have grown so close. I'm so excited for this next year and all the fun surprises it has in store. So, happy 1 year to us!
Look Courtney, we saw Ross Gellar working his magic and finding all those fossils!

In celebrating that the Fall season is finally here I decided to bake some Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies. Many of you know I'm not the best baker...but Mike helped me and I think that's why they turned out so good. Enjoy the recipe!

Happy Birthday to me!
I had such a fun birthday! Mike, my brother Jordan, and I drove down to Cali and went to Disneyland for my birthday. For my present Mike flew my sister Courtney, niece Kylee, and nephew Luke down to spend a couple of days with me. It was wonderful to have everyone there. My mom also flew out for a couple of days, and of course came to Disneyland with the rest of us. On Saturday we visited my great uncle Lou who is 91 years old! Then we went to see my grandma Barbara. I threw a little birthday bash for my brother for his birthday which is on the 1st of November. All of the extended family came over and we had cake and ice cream, and sat around and talked about all the funny things Jordan has done in his life so far. We took Kylee swimming, which was so funny to see. She can swim without floaties now. She kickes like crazy and only uses one arm to swim. She's so cute. I couldn't get enough of my cute little nephew Luke. I love holding his cute little body and making him smile. He's such a happy little guy. All in all it was so fun to be with family and to be in the happiest place on earth. The trip back to reality was sad. I hate having to come back to real life. Back to the stress and responsibilty. I just love being with my family and I really try to soak up all I can. So here are a couple of pics of our trip. Enjoy!

Blindness...
Mike and I saw Blindness last night. It was a little disturbing to be honest but it really made me appreciate my sight, as bad as it is. I'm glad I can see the beauty Heavenly Father has blessed us with. Especially in the Fall, one of my favorite seasons ever. The leaves changing and the weather cooling. I love that I can pull out the blankets in the house and all of my coats and sweaters. I just love this time of year.
On another note, yesterday Mike surprised me with a facial at Acaydia. It was such a wonderful surprise and oh so thoughtful of him. It just goes to show that even though our men may not show us they love us everyday, they think about us all the time and really do want to please us. I am just so grateful for him and for the many blessings I have in my life. Such a happy time right now.

Help!!!
I love my puppy, however, she has a serious problem. She chews up everything! The list includes...The Book of Mormon, computer cords, picture frames, curtains, bags, my gorgeously green book, and many more. I googled what I should do and basically it told me that I can't lock up my dog because that's cruel, I shouldn't leave her tied up outside because that's mean, and that I should be with her at all times. Give me a break. I have a life and a job! So, then I read that I should lay everything on the ground that she shouldn't chew up and if she goes to chew on it, scold her. Problem is...I did that, and she didn't care about any of it. Just walked around it like it was no big thing. The second I leave the house to go to work she destroys everything. So Mike and I hid everything that was in doggy reach, and somehow she finds something else to get. I don't get it. I give her all these toys to play with and she doesn't want those, she wants to forbidden things. I'm at a loss! If any of you have advise...help a sista out! I mean is this face not scary enough?

Busy Busy!
This past week was a blast. It was busy but oh so fun! On Monday I finally got around to planting in my pots i bought at Soel. It makes my porch look cute, well kinda. On Wednesday Mike had his photo shoot for his portfolio, and I think the pics turned out really good. We've only seen some of them and they look great. Thursday I got a new do, I love it. And my friend Tristin had her bridal shower. It was so fun and I got to see some friends I hadn't seen for a while. Friday Mike and I went to Lagoon. We got free tix somehow and enjoyed a date night riding the rides. Well I only rode 3. We all know I get sick on carni rides and things. Then Saturday Tristin got married and I went to the beautiful reception. It was fun to see everyone there. So ya... pretty busy week. Loved every minute. I hope you like the pix.
