As of late...

With the weather getting better Mike and Remee want to go on walks a lot.  So, I give in...even though I think it's too cold still, and I end up really enjoying myself.  That, and I love watching Remee walk the entire time.  She likes to stop a lot and touch everything and point and tell us what things are(still in her little kid language that we don't understand at all).  She stops to smell the flowers and pick up rocks to throw.  It just makes walks so much better!  I also made Remee a tent, with the help of my handyman hubby!  I used this tutorial, and it was easy.  I just bought a sheet at Savers to save some mula!

Gardening makes me happy.

I was walking around the garden the other day and taking a look at all of my plants...you know, to make sure they had not died from winter, and I stumbled across this gorgeous plant.  I remember planting it last spring but I have no idea what it's called.  But to my surprise, under a pile of dried leaves was this little bundle of flowers.  So beautiful.  This is one of the reasons I love to garden.  Every year something new seems to catch my eye.  I love that within a few days something new is in bloom!  What a joy it is to get my hands in the dirt and plant something from seed that turns into something special. 

Dollar Tree...I love you!

The Dollar Tree is one of my new favorite places to go!  My sister thinks I'm white trash but I have to say... those of you who aren't taking advantage of all the great things from Dollar Tree are just wasting your money.  I was able to get everything for Remee's Easter basket for only $5.00!  I also got new measuring cups, a few games for my sister's kids to play while they are here visiting, and obviously some other awesome things!  So, to my sister, I'm going to convert you when you get here next week, and you'll thank me for it!

Laundry Anyone?

Thursday is laundry day at my house!  It used to be Friday and then Saturday and then Sunday and now it's Thursday.  I'm hoping it stays Thursday for a while.  Why?  Thursday is a day I don't do much outside of the house.  So it gives me plenty of time to fold everything.  Before Remee came along I did 3 loads... colors, whites, towels/sheets.  Now I officially do 6 loads!!!! Colors, whites, towels, sheets, rags, and jeans.  This is the giant pile I have to fold after all the running up and down the stairs.  I'm exhausted just thinking about having to do it next week!

I was so lucky to be asked to do a photo shoot with Justin Hackworth for Mutze hats!This shoot was so much fun and the girls(who I had never met before)were so nice and so fun to hang out with for a few hours.  Thanks Justin for letting me be a part of this awesome photo shoot!

Happy Day!

Yesterday we went down to Manti for our friends' wedding.  It was a gorgeous sealing ceremony and I found my self being so very grateful for being married to such a wonderful man.  Weddings do that to me.  I just think about how much I love Mike and how much he make me happy, but it also inspires me to do better as a wife and mother.  We had a really good time.  It was incredibly too windy but it was beautiful just the same!

My Struggle

As many of you know I struggle to get prego.  It usually takes about a year of planned intercourse, medication, and daily temperature tracking.  Not to mention the daily hell I put myself through of over analysing every symptom and every twinge.  So, here we are at month 10 of trying and I'm starting to lose my mind.  Why do we put ourselves through this hell for a tiny human?  I think back to when we were trying to conceive Remee.  I don't remember being this anxious and crazy and down.  I remember reading the words 'positive' on my pee strip and thinking 'We'll see', and 'let's hope for the best'.  Now if I saw those words I think I would jump for joy, start to hysterically cry, and maybe pass out.    I know I should just trust in the Lord that he knows when the right time is and that he will bless me when he sees fit, but it's hard to think that when I hear everyday about some kid in high school getting knocked up.  What I need right now is super sperm and an implanted egg.  That's all I want...is that too much to ask for?

Catching up...sort of

These last couple of months have flown by!  Lots of bridal showers and lots of chasing a toddler around.  Not to mention, the cleaning house, trying to make more dinners at home, and now working in the yard.  We've had fun though.  I actually enjoy my time more when there's a whole lot to do.  This last month was one of really no picture taking.  Sorry there are only a few to share.  Remee loved the snow, and anytime she sees it anywhere she points it out and says 'aknow'.  When the sun comes out so do the sunglasses, and Remee wanted to be apart of it.  I'm not sure why kids put sunglasses on upside down but hey it still works.  I mentioned bridal showers before.  My friend Mel is getting married in June and I'm throwing her bridal shower.  Here's the invite I made, and I think it turned out so adorable!

My sister, Courtney Bowlden, is coming out the first week of April to do some photo shoots and I am setting one up for her.  The shoot will be at the salt flats and I am looking for models who would want some fashion photos taken of them.  The models will have hair and makeup done for them, and an outfit or two picked out for them.  As compensation, the model will recieve a disc of edited photos.  Please e-mail me a picture of yourself if you are interested.  alliekow@gmail.com
