Happy Birthday to me!

I got a fun surprise for my birthday. Mike had bought me cruiser bike. I have always wanted one and this year was my lucky year I guess. Isn't she a beauty? Too bad it's raining! Cause I can hardly wait to take her on a ride! That, and next year I can put a little seat on it for Remee and we can cruise together!

Remee's Halloween Costume

Why buy a costume for this little one when she's not going trick or treating and she can't eat candy? I couldn't help myself though. So I found a few things here at the house to make a costume on the cheap. What is she? An 80's aerobic instructor of course.

Disneyland 2010

Our annual Disneyland trip came and went. We had so much fun getting in our D-land fix! We were able to see some family, eat lots of food, and go all crazy on the rides! The weather wasn't on our side this year though. It wasn't too bad the first day but the second rained cats and dogs. Mike and I bought an umbrella and trucked through! Just goes to show how fun D-land can be if you're sopping wet and you still have a blast!
My mom and step-dad's Autopia car broke down. You've got to love those facial expressions!
Saw Captain EO. It was the first experience of our trip and it was awesome! MJ was a genius!

I turned into an action figure. My name? Undecided! I couldn't think of one!
All in all, I had fun and can't wait to go next year.

Seeing the Sights

Well, I was finally able to travel with Mike on one of his trips for work. It was fun just being with him, and a bonus was seeing all the sights along the way. Remee and I arrived in DC on Sunday night and spend all day Monday resting. It's big job traveling with a baby by yourself. Tuesday we got up early and travelled to the the city! Our first stop was the Holocaust Museum. There aren't any pics cause non were allowed, and I follow the rules. Then we just walked around seeing all the monuments, memorials, and statues along the way to the Natural History Museum. All the while we were hoping to run into Shia Lebouf, who was in town filming for Transformers 3. Unfortunately there were no start sightings, but we saw a tons of film equipment all over the place.
Here's America's boner, as my step-dad would say.
Hello Mr. Lincoln!
The Lincoln Memorial from far away.
The girls at Lincoln Memorial. You can see the Capitol Building way in the back!
We waved to President Obama. And yes, you are seeing right. This pic was taken at around 2:00 pm, and the sprinklers are on. Obama must not know about water conservation.
Finally, we stopped by the Air and Space Museum to pay a visit to my mom and step-dad's profession. Here I am with a flight attendant. Why are all of the statues really short? I swear I was like a foot taller than all of them, boy and girl.

We arrived safely to New York City, early Wednesday morning. This is the view from the hotel we stayed at in Soho. It was awesome. I was finally in New York.
Gary(a friends and co-worker of Mike's) took us around the city on a Gary's Night Tour. We took the Subway everywhere. Saw Central Park, Trump Tower, Lincoln Center, Time Square, Rockefeller, NBC studios, and a ton more. New York City is totally a different place a night.
Remee was fascinated by all of the lights. This pic was taken at the Rockefeller flags. She was on cloud 9.
Time Square! This is where it all happens. All the Broadway shows, New Years Eve celebrations, Good Morning America, and so much more. It was kinda surreal to stand there and think, 'I've seen this before on TV'.
We went to the top of the 30 Rockefeller Building. This is the Empire State Building with the bright lights.
There she is, "lady liberty" herself. So cool to be that close to her! To think that's what all the immigrants were welcomed by many years ago. What a cool way to say, "Welcome to America!"

I loved seeing "lady liberty". I thought she was going to be way bigger than she was. One of my favorite things to see.
This was the view of the city from the fairy. On the left is where the trade center buildings should be. Amazing to me that a few buildings could be that beautiful.
So the trip is over. I get one day to recoup and then we are off to Disneyland! Pretty sure October is the best month ever. So the story ends with sore feet, tons of laundry to do, and jet lag. See you next week!

Free Stuff!

As many of you know, I am all about free samples. I mean, why should you have to buy something first to see if it's good. Well, I read a few blogs that tell me all of these great deals and I think you should read them too. Here are a few tips before you get started on requesting free samples.
  • Set up a "junk" e-mail account. A ton of these free sample sites require you to enter in an e-mail address. This "junk" e-mail account is just for that, so you don't end up with a ton of "junk" in your normal e-mail account.
  • Because of the massive amounts of people who are signing up for these free samples, the sites sometimes don't work or are a little slow. If that's the case, try back later, sometimes the next day works best.
  • When filling out the form for the free samples pay close attention to the required fields. These usually have a little * by them. If they don't require it, don't put in the info. Especially if it's your phone number because we all know how annoying it is to get sales calls on the phone.
  • Finally, check you "junk" e-mail account often. Sometimes after you have filled out the necessary info in a form, the free sample company will require you to respond to an e-mail back to them to actually receive the free sample.

Here's a pic of a few, and I mean a few, things I have gotten in the mail. This pic doesn't include the other 2 tins of formula, diapers, toothpastes, soaps, dishwasher detergent, tons of coupons, and much more!

Collecting these things is such a great idea. They could make great gifts for people getting married or in a 72 hour survival kit, or for your own home... in case you run out of stuff or you like to try new products. Below are a few of the sites I read to get these free samples. Have fun!!!

Halloween Decor

With Halloween just around the corner, I can't help but find inspiration of what I want in my home all over the Internet. I'm not sure if it's because I have a kiddo that's making me feel like I have to decorate a ton this year or if I'm finally in the Halloween decorating spirit, but I'm going all out. I've started decorating all over my house. I'll post pics later, but here are a few of my inspirations. How great is the green glitter? I'm in love...
I love the black leaves on the fireplace. And white pumpkins are a must this year.

This whole idea I'm so copying. I have a few empty shelves in my dining room that these lovelies will be sitting.

I love that this isn't too dressed up and scary. The kids will still feel ok to come to my door. In fact, I might just do this on one of my walls inside!

Ok I'm loving the witch legs. This project might be a little pricey but little by little I'll get it done. That, and I'll be using it next year for sure!
PEOPLE DON'T FORGET TO ENTER THE GIVEAWAY. IT'S A GREAT GIFT IF YOU KNOW SOMEONE THAT HAS A BLU-RAY PLAYER OR YOU CAN KEEP IT FOR YOURSELF!

Giveaway!!!

Today I ventured out and bought Disney's Beauty and the Beast. It's one of my favorites and funny to think I still know every word to the songs. Ok actually that's little embarrassing but whatever. Anyway, I bought the Bluray DVD combo pack and I don't need the Bluray disc because we don't have a Bluray player. So that means all of you Bluray player owners... you have a chance to win the disc! All you have to do is leave a comment with your name and your e-mail address and I'll be drawing a name this Saturday the 9th at noon. So, have your comments in by then! Good luck!
*Winner will recieve Bluray DVD. DVD will not be in original case.

Remee at 4 months

Yesterday we took Remee to the Dr. for her 4 month check. Dr. said she's growing great. The experience however was not so great. Yet again Remee got her shots and this time was a doozy. She cried and cried and cried. Sad though... I couldn't help but laugh. Who knew shots could be so traumatizing to a little baby?
Here she is getting weighed and yes you are seeing correct. She only weighs in at 10 lbs. 14 oz. That means she's in the 4th percentile. However, she's 24 1/2 '' long; 61 percentile. Not to worry though. The Dr. said she's gaining weight fine.
I love my little doll baby.

Family Pictures

Today my wonderful Sis-in-law Rachael took some family pics of us. Funniest thing about it is you would think that Remee would be the one to misbehave, but no, that was actually Raven. She was being a total brat! Which one is your favorite? I can't decide!
