Update

Not much new is happening around the Kowallis household. We are just busy loving our little one and getting ready for some very exciting trips. Middle of October we will be going to D.C. and I'm so thrilled to be going back. I went years ago with my mom and step-dad and the one museum I missed was the Holocaust Museum. So, this year that's the first place we are going to. Second... we all know about my love for Disneyland and of course my birthday is coming up at the end of the month, so, that means here we come Disneyland. Now this year I am extra excited because Captain E-O is back! Hallelujah, because Honey I Shrunk the Audience was totally lame. With both of these trips there will be a lot of walking so I've decided to get these lovely ladies... Reebok Easy Tone Shoes. My legs and buns will soon be of steel!
Remee has been doing great without her pacifier. It was about 2 bad nights and then voila, now she's sleeping through the night again! She now goes to bed at 8:00 pm and sleeps til 6:30 am, I feed her, and then she goes right back to sleep til 9:30 am. She's a happy little girl. P.S. I swear by this book 'Baby Wise'. It's freakin genius. So go get it if you are having trouble with sleeping babies or know someone who is. Anywho, now instead of the pacifier, Remee sucks on her fingers. I think it's adorable. Although I know it will be an issue getting her to stop later but I won't be worrying about that now.
Now that Remee is about 4 months old she has some new and fun things she's been doing. She can roll over from tummy to back, and from back to tummy(well almost, her arm stops her but she'll figure it out). So there's no more laying her on the bed or couch. She loves her rattles and toys now. She grabs for them and flails her arms around to hear them jingle. It's amazing how fast she has changed. She loves standing up and thinks she's the coolest thing when she does. She just giggles and smiles for herself. Her Baby Einstein DVDs are her favorite. I have her watch them while I get ready and I can hear her the whole time talking and laughing to the the TV. Although every time I try to get it on video she stops. Due to the fact the this little girl is so dang wiggly, I have to keep an eye on her at all times. The other night my friend Trish and I were canning peaches and I put Remee in her swing to keep her entertained. Now, when I bought this swing and saw that there were buckles on it I thought 'Why would they need to put those on here, where's the little baby going to go?' Well, I learned my lesson. Trish and I were laughing at all the noise this little girl was making. She was talking up a storm in the other room, so we went to check on her and this is what we found. She had literally wiggled herself out of her swing and halfway onto the floor. What's funny is she didn't even care. She just kept carrying on her random conversation with her rattle.

So life is just great. Couldn't be happier. Well, I could if I was in Disneyland already but you get what I'm saying.

I hate pacifiers!

Notice anything similar in these pictures...

Yes you are right... they all have pacifiers in them. Well, thanks to these stupid things they put Remee right to sleep, however, when she accidentally wakes up at night and it's not in her mouth anymore, then I have to get up and give it back to her. So today starts the no more pacifier days. She's had a little bit of hard time falling asleep (to say the least) but I'm sticking with it. She's got to learn sometime how to put herself to sleep right? I hope this doesn't make me a bad mom. Who knows... maybe she'll come to me when she's 16 and say 'Mom, remember when you took my pacifiers away from me? Ya that was really bit**y of you!' Then I'll ground her, of course, for swearing.

My Husband the Lumberjack!

So there WAS this tree in the front of our yard that sat right up next to our driveway. Well, we are soon going to be getting a new driveway, and to prevent further cracks and whatnot we decided to cut the tree down. Well, Mike called some "tree expert" to come out to give us a quote on cutting it down and they quoted us $725.00!!! Are they serious? So... of course I talked Mike into cutting it down himself :) I know all of you are thinking 'that's so dangerous you're a horibble wife'. Yes it is dangerous and no I'm a great wife thank you very much, but Mike had all the right equipment and took it down little by little. I must say I'm so proud of my hubby! Now we have firewood for years to come!
Our huge tree... that's tiny little Mike standing next to it.

Not bad for a day's work!

I'm Engaged!

OK so we all know I'm married. DUH! But coming this weekend, Mike and I will be sealed! I can't even tell you how excited I am. I love Mike so very much and I can't imagine my life without him. What a blessing to know I'll be able to be with him, and Remee, forever. I'm the luckiest girl in the world.
Also, my engagement ring in this pic was broken for about 5 months or so. One of the prongs broke or something. So it was sitting in my closet for a long time, waiting to get fixed. Well, while I was in Seattle with my sis, Mike took it in to get fixed and surprised me with it the other night. Isn't he so cute? My finger finally feels complete!

Ladies weekends!

With Mike being gone a lot for work with Brocato, Remee and I get to have some great mommy-daughter bonding time. We watch movies, take baths, and cuddle a lot. I'm loving getting to know my little Remster better. Too bad we wish Daddy was here with us too!

The camping queen

This little angel had her first camping trip. This past weekend we went up to Payson Lakes for a Salon campout with all the girls and their fam's from the Salon. It was a lot of fun getting to know all the ladies a little better and to see how much Remee loved the outdoors.
