Still Waiting...

If you are wondering, there's still no baby to lay in our cradle. We are just waiting. I have been at a 1/2 cm and 80 % effaced for 3 weeks now and nothing new happening. So when our little munchkin decides to come out is up to her. I'll let you all know the moment she arrives!
My sister also took some really cute maternity pics for me. If you want to check them out, here's the link .

Pampering is important!

The last couple of days I have enjoyed doing just about nothing. I sleep in, take a long shower, then later have a nap, watch T.V., indulge on sipping ice water (yummy) or grape juice (also yummy), and then take a bath or shower before I retire to bed! Well, today I decided to finally venture out and get a much needed pedicure. Oh it was so enjoyable! Plus I found a new color from OPI that I am loving right now. I mean how could I resist painting my nails pink since I'm having a baby girl... although I must say if I was having a boy I think I still would have painted them pink.

OPI Pink Flamenco... isn't it so cute? Mike and I also went to see Iron Man 2 last night. So here's what I thought!

I LOVED it. There's nothing like a movie with Robert Downey Jr. (no I do not have a crush on him...I just think he is major, super, talented). This movie is what every super hero movie should be like, cheesy and unrealistic, but action packed and loaded with great one liners. I'd say a must see!

Another little project

I bought 2 of these rocking chairs more than a year ago and have wanted to paint them since the day I got them but just couldn't decide on a color. Well, the color isn't too fantastic (plain ol' black) but hey they look a lot better now!

The count down is on!

As I may have mentioned before I am in organization mode right now and it's never ending in my house. I won't point fingers or mention names on the messy one in my home. Anyway, I am a little embarrassed to even show you how bad I let this closet get but now it's gorgeous so what's to hide now? Well, here's what I've been up to. Just a few bucks and a couple hours later...

AFTER... thanks to Ikea boxes!

Finally all organized, just the way I like it!
This pic was at 8 months prego!
Here we are (me and Remee) at 36 1/2 weeks! Gosh my hair has grown so much in 1 month. Heartburn is a daily occurrence so Tums have now taken the role of my best friend. Genius whoever invented those wonderful chews!!!

I officially win the biggest slacker award!

I know I have neglected my poor little blog for some time. I mean no pictures and no updates, how horrible am I? Well let me just start making excuses right now. First of all... I have a life people! Second... our computer (which sucks) has now decided that it doesn't like me even more than before and it refuses to let me upload pictures! Third... did I mention my computer sucks? So anyway, that picture I took of me being 8 months pregnant is patiently waiting to be uploaded on to our laptop, which I will get around to doing one of these days, again I have a life people. As for other things than pictures, all is well. I feel great! I have hit the nesting stage in my pregnancy where I want everything organized and clean and put away in it's proper place, and can I tell you how happy that makes someone who has a slight case of OCD? Let's just say I'm on cloud 9! Mike and I have been working in the yard quite a bit (that is when it doesn't decide to snow in the middle of Spring... stupid Utah) and next week we are getting grass! It sounds stupid to be excited about something like that but man I could throw a party, that's how excited I am. Only I would wait to throw that party until after our grass was in so we could have the party in the yard. *smile* I would even make lemonade! Mike has been out of town for most of April; flying around the USA teaching peeps about hair color, which has given me plenty of time to make lots of lists of little project to do around the house. I have been successful with finishing almost all of them. I'm pacing myself so that I have something to do the month of May other than relax and send happy thoughts to Remee about how great Earth is and how she should come out and see for herself. So that's life around these parts. Enjoy some movie reviews. Oh yeah about that. Not much time for movies these days... you know... since I have a life now!

This movie goes on my top 10 list! I laughed the whole time, almost to the point of crying. You must stay for all of the credits so you can see the outtakes. Also, why did it take so long to put these two in a movie together? Let's just say it's a match made in comedy heaven!
I'm undecided on whether to say this movie was great or just good. Cool action scenes and good cast, minus Zeus. People we are taking about Zeus!!! He should be a muscly, strong, deep voiced guy, and whatever his name that played him just fell way to short of those high expectations. Although I will say this... I have no idea who would play Zeus but the guy they chose was lame.

Dear Tim Burton,
I truly believe you have many loose screws in your head, but dang can you make a kick "A" movie.
Sincerely,
Allie

Allergies

Because it's allergy season (well at least for me) the last 3 days I have been sneezing, blowing my nose about 1 million times, and wiping my watery eyes. So now I look like a scary red faced monster. Well, due to the fact that I am preggers and it was Easter weekend, I didn't have a Dr. to call to ask what I could take for it, and the pharmacies were closed too. So really I stuck to taking decongestants which I knew I could take and really didn't do me any good. Well, today I finally was able to call the Dr. about what I could take and hurried over to Walgreens to pick it up... along with some much needed Puffs with lotion. Anywho, got home, took meds, and... nothing. I mean I felt a little better but not by much. I sat around thinking of something I could eat or drink that would help. I took a hot steamy shower, and still nothing was helping. So I decided to head back over to Walgreens again to see if there was anything else I could do. I talked with the pharmacist and he told me to buy one of these...
I have used them before at my Dad's house and I seriously can't believe I didn't think about getting it. Well, I bought it, took it home, and OH MY GOSH! Instant relief. Talk about the best $10.00 I have ever spent!

My day in a nutshell

Today has not been the best for these reasons...
1. A bird pooped on my belly. Ok not my skin belly but on my shirt. Gross, so I had to change.
2. I got an eye exam yesterday for new contacts because my other prescription was expired and realized today that the prescription was wrong because I was seeing funny. So, I had to go back to the eye Dr. and redo the whole exam... although now all is well with my eyeballs.
3. Went outside to clear some of the leaves and junk that had accumulated on my raised veggie beds and gave up half way through because I can hardly bend over that far and it was soooo windy today that the leaves just kept flying right back into the beds.
4. Wanted to finally relax from all the craziness so I went into my bathroom to start filling up the tub when I realized that my tub was dirty and that meant I would have to scrub it, so I did scrub it(which was really hard because, again, I can't bend over that far) and then came to realize I was so hungry so bath time would have to wait. Still haven't taken a bath!
5. I'm just tired and need a vacation!
