As of Late...

Being a mother comes with it's agenda, especially when it's warm outside.  Remee is always wanting to go outside, and with it being unbearably hot for a pregnant person the pool or any place there's water is where we end up passing the time.  I have loved watching Remee enjoy the Riverwoods' Splash Pad.  She could spend hours there, and she always throws a fit when we leave...which a great sign of her having fun!
My sister was able to come out for the weekend to shoot my friend, Melanie's, wedding.  It was such a hot day and almost no shade to take pictures in, but my sis made it work and the pictures turned out really beautiful(well at least the few that I have seen look awesome).  While my sister was here Mike was running the Ragnar race, so Courtney and I had tons of time to spend with each other.  We always have a good time.  We ate lots of yummy food and stayed up way to late chatting and giggling.  I miss my sis already!  And hello, how cute is my brother?

Vegas Baby!

Every year Mike and his salon take a trip to Vegas for the hair show, and unlike some year past, this year was no drama and all fun!  The actual hair show was amazing!  So many talented artists and so many great vendors.  My first stop is always O.P.I for new nail polish.  This year the whole salon got free spray tans...which will soon be offered at the salon!  Other than the show, we spent time by the pool and went to see KA by Cirque Du Soleil.  I was blown away.  If you have the chance to see any of the shows in Vegas, this should be at the top of your list.  Anyway, it was a blast and I missed my little Remee every minute of the day(she stayed with gma and gpa...thanks again for watching her)!

20 weeks is a month away!

I would love to hear what everyone thinks we are having!  Vote to the left or leave a comment!  Thanks!

Remee turns 2!

Remee's birthday party was so much fun.  Thank you to everyone that came and enjoyed food and celebrating Remee's birthday with us.  This year was Remee's Sesame Street themed party.  She loved every present she got and loved blowing out her birthday candle(which I let her blow out about ten times, but hey it's her birthday)!  We made lots of yummy food...maybe too much food...I'm still eating leftover pasta salad!  It was Remee's fist time letting a balloon go and she flipped!  After a while of watching it float away she cooled back down and continued through the rest of the party to look up at the sky and say 'bye bye daddy'.  Not sure why she called the balloon daddy but it was funny to watch her expression.  All in all it was a lot of fun.  I kept thinking back to when I delivered Remee.  It was a rainy June day and yet having her come to our family brought so much light and spirit to the day.  She was such a chunky little girl and it seemed like we had waited for her forever.  Now, I can't imagine life without our darling Rem Rem.  Heavenly Father really knew what he was doing when he sent her to our family.  Happy 2nd Birthday to my tiny girl!  We love you!

Visitors

We had a great time with Momo and Popo and Grandma Leesa visiting.  I can't thank them enough for helping me out with Remee's birthday party and dishes and cooking and all the other millions of things they willingly helped out with. I am so blessed! Remee loved every minute spent with her special visitors.  We played at the pool...or napped!  We took a ride to Cascade Springs for a day outdoors and it was wonderful and peaceful.  The drive up is gorgeous and the springs are breathtaking!  We read lots of stories and sang lots of songs.  Had a picnic at the park, and enjoyed each others' company.  It was a fun filled week!
